Turning Tide Project
06/2010
Would you enjoy spending a couple of hours helping improve the condition of your local beach and learning about the coastal wildlife at the same time? Between Saturday 26th of June and Saturday 3rd of July there will be various events taking place and you are welcome to join us.
The Turning Tide project is a partnership between organisations, volunteer groups and individuals, including Gwynedd council, keep Wales Tidy, and tidy Towns, whose supporting grant has made this project possible. The project aims to tackle the problem of litter along our coastline as well as raising awareness of the pen Llyn a’r Sarnau Special Area of Conservation. The area is home to many rare species such as the Otter, Bottlenosed Dolphin and Grey Seals, as well as many other creatures, all here on your doorstep!
