Habitat Loss
A habitat is said to be lost once the environmental conditions are no longer favourable for the species adapted to living in it. Habitat loss has been identified as one of the biggest threats to global biodiversity, it can occur for many reasons but the results are the same. Populations get divided, remaining resources are put under a lot more pressure and species face a lot more competition, all ultimately leading to species loss.
